Your story is what defines you.
What makes you, who you are.
My question for you today is are you happy with the
story that you have created OR that someone has created
for you by corrupting your mind.
I’m going a little deep today, sorry.
Needs must!
It’s the stories that we tell ourselves which give us
the power to act on everyday life.
But sadly not all stories end well and begin to be
a bad nightmare, which we accept and live with each day…
… Or until you decide enough is enough.
The stories we tell ourselves about how you feel about
going on a diet and doing exercise.
You tell it to yourself so often that you begin to believe
it.
“I’m too fat to exercise”
“I’m too unfit to join a fitness camp”
“I’m going to start on monday” But monday never comes.
“What if people look at me and laugh?”
“What if I can’t keep up and I look like
a failure?”
I’m stopping there as it bringing me down thinking
about it..
So let me ask you this.
How do you expect to change yourself if you carry
on talking to yourself like garbage and beating yourself
down every time you want to do something of benefit yourself?
It’s hard to except I know but to change yourself you
need to embrace your body for what it is and start to
change your thoughts.
Then you can begin to change your story to the one
that you enjoy living.
Simple thoughts that can set off a chain of actions
that will benefit you and install new behaviours
into your daily routine.
Thoughts like:
“I may be unfit but I’m going to do my best and get
fit”
“I’m new and scared to this exercise stuff but with
practice I can see the light at the end of the
tunnel”
“I love my body because I’m alive and living each
day to it’s full potential”
It’s these new stories you tell yourself that will
determine where you are in 1 years time.
And understand this…
Letting go can be hard… especially if you’ve been
stuck in the same place for a long time because
change is hard.
But with a good coach it can be done.
I know some of you reading this are probably putting
up your defences and shaking your head side to side
with denial.
So if that’s the case you may as well unsubscribe.
I’ve helped changed enough clients stories and self
beliefs to know that if you aren’t open and willing to
seek out change then your story will be the same as
last year.
So don’t admit defeat but admit you need help.
Or keep hiding behind the curtains and telling
people who you aren’t.

PS Just yesterday I spoke to a client who’s lost over
3 stone since January and completely changed the way
she thinks but due to stress and her work load, she has
slipped back into her old ways of justifying eating
rubbish because she went to tell her old story of
how crap she felt all the time.
You can joke, laugh it off and turn a blind eye to the
truth but trust me…
It will come and bite you in the ass tenfold.
