A member said that to me on Friday last week
Story goes … Becki made some sandwiches for her kids and decided to have some as well.
When Becki joined me walking down the hill at Boscombe beach and said she nearly wasn’t going to come.
I said “why?”
She said she was having a fat day…which was a valid reason.
I’m having one today after yesterday’s pig out Sunday so now I’m craving bread and coffee!
Then I found out the reason why…
The crap food intake is destined to make you feel crap and horrible about yourself…
BREAD!!
Becki didn’t have anything else that was bad the day before, just bread.
And look what it did to her energy and mood.
She felt like she was dragging a bag of potatoes behind her
Sadly the after affects of bread aren’t as great as the taste of bread.
For many, wheat and gluten products are indigestible and place stress on the digestive system leading to a sluggish metabolism and intolerances.
In Becki’s case she FELT like a house, which made her energy levels drop and in no mood to do any exercise.
So what made her come down??
Her husband told her to go because he knew she would feel better for training and catching up with her ProjectU friends.
Being in a session full of women you can guess some of the conversation…
On Friday it was, Birthdays, Engagements, Fringes, Diamonds, Bread, Kids and Wobbly bits.
Becki and all the team had a laugh, released some endorphins AKA dolphins, revved up our metabolism and left feeling energized and smiling!
The moral of the story is…
Even if you’re feeling rubbish, a good workout and banter will always brighten up your day.
Do you think she would have gone if she was a member of just an ordinary gym?
