It’s the simple things in life
that are sometimes forgotten
The basics that the human body
needs.
Not some “new fad that’s taking
the dieting industry by storm”
So many people are chasing the
next ‘best’ thing out on the market.
We don’t stop to think about
the basics.
It’s a bit sad isn’t it?
Once it was the green tea tablet
people were raving about
Then is was the ‘Pure’ acai berries
Then XLS Medical ‘fat binder’
Supplement sandwich anyone??
Personally, if you take advice from
a TV advert or a mag ad on supplements, it’s
like getting financial advise from a 5 year old.
Silly right?
Supplements should only be taken
as an added health benefit IF, your
nutrition if good, not as replacement
for wholesome foods.
I’ve lost count the amount of times
people have approached me asking my
opinion on a supplement.
Sometimes I get the feeling they are
waiting with excitement to here me
say - “it’s amazing, it’s great
you should buy 10 tubs and pop 20 pills
a day and you’ll have the body of
a goddess!” haha
It’s a bad and very lazy habit to get into.
Something I’m highly against.
Instead of thinking towards a short term
fix.
Think of what good you do to your body
on a daily basis to reap the benefits the
following day, following weeks, month and so
on.
Here’s some to get you started.
1. Drink at least 3 litre of water a day
2. Eat at least 3 portions of green veg a day
3. Lift heavy things.
4. Take fish oils
5. Get at least 7-8 hours sleep every night
6. Be mindful of your results
7. Learn to relax WITHOUT having a drink
8. Eat plenty of good fats.
9. Hang around with people that influence
good things in you and make you happy
10. Stop saying I’ll do it tomorrow -
Tomorrow never comes!
11. Get help from someone that’s done it so
they can show you how it’s done.
