Pastry – all types, all pies, pasties

Processed meat products of any kind (sausages, pies, ready meals, hams, corned beef etc)

All cheese with the exception of cottage cheese

Fried foods

Processed foods such as diet ready meals and tinned soups

Sweets

Crisps

Biscuits

Cakes

White bread and white pasta (limit intake of any bread)

Fizzy drinks

Alcohol

All this can really make you feel exhausted and drained day in day out. Not to mention loads of weight gain and a very unhappy person.

You see weight loss is all about hormone control and the only way you are going to lose weight and control your hormones IS by controlling what goes in your mouth. Now you are going to have to trust me on this… If you answered yes to the questions above then you really need to stick to these tips otherwise you will hit a brick wall and you won’t be going anywhere. I promise!

So… it’s about hormone balance and keeping it under control. The more erratic your eating, the more plateaus you will have. Meaning little to no weight loss week after week, which isn’t really a good thing seen as July and August are so close. Once you cut out the food above and replace them with the foods below, then you will be achieving some noticeable results.

Chicken

Turkey

Lamb (organ meat fine)

Beef

Tuna/salmon - fresh or tinned in spring water

Mackerel/trout - fresh, smoked or tinned in tomato sauce

Fresh fish (sea or fresh water preferably wild)

Prawns

Lobster

Crab

Semi-skimmed organic cow’s or goat’s milk

Cottage cheese

Bio-live natural yoghurt

Oats, Rye, Millet, Buckwheat, Quinoa (cook like brown rice)

Use cold pressed coconut oil (or olive oil) for cooking

Flax seed, pumpkin and nut oils to be used in small amounts to make salad dressings

All fruit allowed but do not eat more than one banana or portion of grapes per day. No more than 2 pieces of fruit every day. (Dried fruit can be used as a portion of fruit but only one portion of dried fruit per day).

Pumpkin, sesame, sunflower and flaxseeds in moderation. Small handful per day in smoothies or sprinkled on salads

Try to limit wheat intake to one portion a week. Don’t eat sandwiches for lunch and pasta for dinner!

Basically you are looking to starve the fat and put the protein in the body, by doing so you can really reduce your body fat in a matter of weeks.

Cutting out the pastries, carbs, sweet, and flour based foods and replacing them with meats, nuts, seeds, fruit and veg will help you keep a steady blood glucose level which means optimum fat loss and higher energy levels through your day and a better summer!
