Get Up And Do It
This post is a little different to my usual posts.
As my camps have grown over the last year, I’ve had the great experience of meeting some wicked people, some of which have come and gone.
Recently our paths have crossed and we get chatting… we get talking about boot camp…..
But what really surprises me about it is the mind set of past members. They’ve left for one reason or another;
Work
Life
Money
Time
As there has been no motivation to exercise and no consistent eating habit, they’ve gained the weight back. Ok, that’s cool, life has it’s ups and downs.
When discussing coming back, it almost becomes a bit embarrassing for them BECAUSE they’ve gained the weight.
“I’ll lose a few pounds before I start up again”
“Can I ask why? J”
“Ah because I’ve put the weight on and feel self conscious”
This goes out to all frustrated slimmer’s, not just past clients.
You are not alone, you’re not going to be laughed at, or talked about behind your back if you turn up to an old class weighing heavier than before.
Why worry about losing the weight before starting boot camp, gym, exercise class, etc??? when it might NEVER happen. You just keep telling yourself that you’ll do it to feel confident enough to go again.
Please…
Change your mind set on this because you could be 5 -10 or even 15lbs heavier within the 6 months or less. Is that what you REALLY want??
Why do most men and women go to the gym? To lose weight and feel better about themselves.
They are all in the same boat.
Take my camps for example.
Everyone that trains with me is there for one reason, to lose and tone fat, in the healthiest and fastest way possible.
We welcome new faces (and old) and we look at the positive side, which is your back in the game of changing your body shape and getting healthy. NOT the fact that you’ve gained a few pounds.
You want to get over the negative thoughts of what people are “SUPPOSUABLY” thinking about you, as it’s just all in your head.
I say…
Feel the fear and do it anyway!
Take me for example, if I didn’t overcome my barriers of negative thoughts, and talk to large groups of people, I wouldn’t be coaching boot camp today and have the relationships I have with my members. I help bring out peoples best attributes and qualities within themselves.
Making them feel PART of the family BECAUSE I overcame what others thought of me.
So I urge you to do the same.
Because once you overcome these barriers that hold you back from achieving your desired body, you’ll look back and realise “why didn’t I get on with it sooner?”
Make the change and achieve your goals because otherwise you’re only kidding yourself!
